So my husband is constantly making fun of the time I spend looking into other peoples worlds through the eyes of blogland. It's silly, I know, but there is something about seeing how people live their "every day" that is inspiring, motivating, and humbling. It's silly, I know, but I am often moved to tears as I read about how our God reached into your world, and you just happened to post about it. It's silly, I know, but it is good for my soul to read about a new mothers struggle with laying her life down for her new born, or about how another mom of a wee 8 month old wonders why her baby isn't crawling yet. It's silly, I know, but I was challenged (by myself) to give up my "peeping Tom" ways during Lent (begins Feb. 6th Ash Wednesday), and to take the time that I would have spent laughing at your stories, and ahhing over pics of your beautiful children, to reflect on our Savior, on His sacrifice, and it is my hope that after this sacred time of preparation for Easter, that I will become a better version of myself, that this whole "giving up blogging" thing would be a catalyst for me to become more like Christ as I reflect on His sacrifice and death. It's silly, I know, but instead of looking at blogs for 6 weeks, I will be posting blogs. And come Easter morning, with all of the celebrating of our risen Savior, I will be anxious to see what God has done in your "every day", because then my friends, my blog fast will be over and I will again seek to be inspired by the way you live your lives....it's silly, I know.

it's not that silly, really. it's a great practice in reflection, and letting others share your life... at least blogging has proven to be that for me.
i'm so excited. =)
I'll be riveted to my un-blogged computer screen. Love you, friend!
