Feelin' it
I ache right now. And it's not just a physical ache either. All of the moments of the last handful of weeks, months even, have been leading up to this week......and it's over. A sense of relief, of gratefulness and a bit of sadness wash over me every year as we clear off stages, pull down balloons and vacuum up silly string and snack remnants all over Vanguard Church. The main feeling that I'm left with this year is a desparate pleading for God to finish the work He started this week in a couple hundred of kids hearts. There really are not enough words to describe the ache I feel in my heart for these kids to know God....to truly know Him. There really aren't enough pictures to adequately show you what all went on in the hallways and theatres of Vanguard this past week, but here is a glimpse. Many women spent countless hours ironing and printing iron ons....but none can compare to the efforts of Pretty Patti...... Here I am filling up test tubes to keep track of points..... Check out those balloons overflowing out of our "mega beaker" (way to go Ms. Jen)..... Ellen in her lab coat, head lamp and don't forget those electro-magnetic socks....most of the kids favorite part of the morning.....Ms. Ellen coming out to help me introduce our Bible Buddy. Walking on water.....

I feel honored that you would mention me - out of ALL the people who worked so hard behind the scenes. It was all so worth it - seeing all those kids worshipping our Jesus and being drawn closer to Him because of VBB. Thank you for your huge heart and vision which you so generously share with so many.....
Oh Patti... i could mention you a thousand times over for all you do....what a servant you are my dear friend
