The Settlers

Dave and I are uniquely blessed with a small group we've been meeting with for almost 5 years. You would be blessed to know any one of these individuals. Seriously. They all have so much depth, character, and strength.

Dave started this tradition of the "celebration tithe"....based on the Old Testament practice of bringing the best meats and wines and having a feast to celebrate all that God has done over the past year. So last weekend we got a chef to come make us a killer meal paired with great wines and we literally talked the night away. After dinner we exchanged "dollar store" gifts to each other...gifts that represented the recipient and it was so neat to see the way the people around the table truly know each other. What an honor it was to be a part of this evening...you should have heard the conversation, the questions, and just the general feel of what it's like to get all of these people in the same room together for an extended amount of time. We sat down to eat at 7:00 and before we knew it, it was midnight.

Love these people.

Love my husband for being passionate about doing this.
