We made it through a busy weekend and a couple of break down moments.....
Our great gmas took aves and i to see Disney on Ice on saturday....went to church on sunday (it felt great to be there and NOT be pregnant by the way)
Getting ready to go see Mickey!! (gotta love the "daddy do")
Our first Mother/Daughter outing
First car trip together
just to prove that Ashton was there too :)
My totally mesmerized little girl
After having two GREAT days on Saturday and Sunday, we had a rough night Sunday night and a rough day on monday. Avery got croup again, her temp spiked, and she threw up......between her and Ashton, Dave and I literally got no sleep sunday night. I was pretty emotional on monday....fighting off tears all day and trying to tell my self that we will get through this....people transition from one to two children all of the time. After a better night sleep last night, Dave headed into to work this morning, making it my first day at home, by myself with the girls, and you know what? We are doing pretty good.....a shower is not looking likely, however.

(I'd call you or email you, but I don't have either contacts.)
Hey Mandy!
I had a 1/2 day at work today and am now at home. I'd be happy to come by sometime this afternoon to watch the girls while you shower/nap!
Seriously. I'd love to do it! And, I'm right around the corner!

Hey, you can be a French person for a day....or two! Have you ever been in Europe? EWWW.... :)
Glad to hear that you are muddling through this adjustment. So, does it take you twice as long to get out of the house? Wow, I don't know if I could do it! You are a trooper Girl.
I thought about taking Bree to Disney on Ice (She's totally into Mickey Mouse cartoons in the morning) but I thought she might get a bit fidgety after awhile sitting there....how did Aves do?
Oh Mands, I'm sorry about yesterday! Glad you had a good weekend though....you look GREAT in that picture with your two girls.
Did you take Aves back to the Dr. for croup? Ash was semi sick yesterday and then woke up this morning screaming....has a high temp, threw up all over his bed and has a bad cough/runny nose combo. It's lovely.
I'll be praying for you sister...it can only get better from here, right?
love you.
Hey Mandy! Sorry about the rough day. I'll pray for a good night tonight. You look great though!
Hey girl, I truly think the first 2-3 months are the hardest when you have two so little. It takes at least that long to really get used to having 2 TOTALLY dependent beings relying on you every second of the day. But you are right, lots and lots of people do it and survive and you will too! Unfortunately the shower thing never does...I went 4 days...yes 4!! without one this last week. So, don't feel too bad. Some things just get bumped from the priority list (and all of them relate to taking care of you!!). The one thing that has REALLY helped me is making a list for the week and I only put two "important" things on it for me to try and do like 1.dishes in sink 2. write 2 thank you notes. And as long as I could get those two things done then I felt accomplished without beating myself up about everything having to get done all at one time. It really helps when the "to-dos" seem impossible now!
P.S.... I meant two things for each day, not week, but you get what I mean! :)
