okay so dave loves jon foreman. he's been a fan of switchfoot since highschool when their early album "legend of chin" came out. he claims that jon foreman will be at his 30th birthday party. we'll see about that.
switchfoot was in denver last night, so, obviously we had to go. have you ever been to the fillmore? it's a sweet venue....i had a moment while we were up there. one of those moments that i will remember for quite some time. i felt humbled and awed by the marriage and the two sweet girls sleeping at grandma's house that God has given us. i felt a peace and a contentment in "where we're at" in the midst of highschoolers and college students. I relish that feeling. the feeling of being fully "in" the present. it seems as if most of life is consumed by "the next thing" and i am so thankful that God has given me an excitement for the "now" of life.
wow. there was a lot of quotations in that paragraph....
anyway, it was fun and hot and loud and we knew all the songs.
the audio on this clip is TERRIBLE...but it was pretty cool to see him banging on this cymbal like a mad man. he actually broke the drum stick during this part...
and we saw mike mccoy with his little girl maddie....it was her first concert. that was WAY cute and i couldn't help but picture dave taking avery to see switchfoot one day.
