good things are better if they are unexpected

been working on "Who I Am #2" for a while tonight.

i'm about 3 paragraphs in and my head is pounding.

i have to stop.

maybe because dave's practicing the songs for worship tomorrow on his practice pad and it's loud and distracting. maybe because "re-living" the past is taxing. it takes a lot out of me emotionally and mentally.

anyway...i will finish it...just not now.

Our day was FULL.

spent some time down in manitou with our oh-so-fab neighbors, Kim and Bree

you can always tell a "self-photo" can't you?

a smile from the aves....

we said goodbye to Kim and Bree and the manitou party and headed to the pool party at my cousins with our super-fly aunt sharon visiting from Kansas this weekend.

it was fun (you know, as fun as it can be with a two-year-old who needs a nap)
ashton was ADORABLE gnawing on this little toy (working on that next bottom tooth i think)

dave was golfing while we were poolside and when he got home we were supposed to go to Woodmen to hear Mako Fujimura.....but instead, he suggested pizza and "cars". (insert deep sigh of relief)

oh, we needed that.

down time. family time.

very thankful for the unexpected "night off".

Hey Mandy! I forgot your blog existed until Matt directed me here through his last blog post. :)

I'm enjoying the blog- and it's fun to be able to follow your family! :)

Hopefully I'll get to see you guys in October.
