the haags, the moffats, and the finzels just left our house.
the kids played really well together and fought some.
we grilled yummy food and ate some.
we drank wine and spilled some.
and we had fun.
i had been looking forward to this little gathering of long time friends all week.
this afternoon i had such a giddy feeling as dave and i were mowing the lawn, pulling the weeds, marinating the meat and cutting up the veggies.
it was sort of funny to me how excited i was about getting ready for all of our friends to come over.
and then i realized something.
we were made for this.
for bbques
for having people into our homes
for watching our kiddos run around together
we were made to live our lives right along side each other. that is cool.

We loved hanging out and just being together - thanks for opening up your home and letting us do that last night. Sorry I was so tired and out of it. :( We need to do that more frequently, i think!
