soccer drama

i meant to post these pictures from soccer last night, i really did.

but i just couldn't. i didn't want to get on my computer. hmmmmm.

since the big digital switch over, dave and i get one channel on our t.v.

channel 30.
nbc.

we just sat in front of our t.v. and watched that ONE channel for like an hour and a half.

the office.
the community.
the jay leno show.

it was sort of relaxing and sort of wierd. we NEVER do that.

he left again today. (to walla walla for the harvesting of the grapes....lucky)

i feel sad, but also sort of inspired to have a fun weekend with the girls.

soccer from yesterday

i'm having a hard time decided how to "parent" during soccer practice......

(she is so funny with the bubbles...everyone else is stomping on them and grabbing them and popping them and she just tries to CATCH them....)

i mean, after awhile, she gets bored with the bubbles and just runs around and the coach encourages her to "keeping playing with the bubbles", but i'm kinda okay with it if she doesn't want to play with the bubbles.....hmmmmm

(building cone towers)

and every so often during "practice" the coach will yell "go grab a ball and kick it into the other goal" and avery will go get a ball and carry it or just TAKE HER SWEET TIME and it drives me nuts...i just want her to do it exactly like the coach says....is she being disobedient, should she get in trouble for not participating? hmmmmmm

(at one point yesterday, she plopped herself down behind the goal, i asked her what she was doing and she said "being in time out"....awesome)

at least she sat patiently with her little hands on her head waiting for her stamps.....

and this one turned 6 months old yesterday. 6 months feels like a super big deal, doesn't it? and i was going to take some pictures of her in the pink chair today, but then i realized that our camera is on it's way to walla walla with some hot guy who's about to make wine from our grapes :) bummer.

she just hangs out during soccer....what a trooper.

i always have to remind myself not to have unreasonably high expectations for Oliver for his age...but it's hard to even know what that means, ya know?? like what's too high, and what's reasonable??? who knows. avery is definitely young though, and i bet next year you'll notice a big difference! i just think it's pretty freakin' awesome that you have her in soccer! and i LOVE the picture of her with her hands on her head getting stamps - absolutely precious face. and that ashton just does me in every time. she is a gem :)

i love the office and community (it just cracks me up!).

lydie is really distracted in soccer too. she looks the other way, is just in day-dream world!
