and we'll all freeze our butts off, welcome fall

we've been having fun with matt around. he pretty much just did "life" with us yesterday, which was so fun. did laundry, napped on the couch, watched punchinello with aves. plus we had a great convo about the whole concept of "giving to the poor".... he always challenges the way i think. what a heart he has.

today was biscuits and gravy at grandma's/pumpkin patch day. we did that last year when we came to visit in the fall. and this year, well, let me just say that this year was less than ideal. for starters, matt couldn't even come with us! he woke up with flu like symptoms and so he decided he better hang back....good decision.

after we said goodbye to matt we hit up starbucks and it's a good thing we did. it was COLD and WINDY up at wishing star farm.
(ashton got to be super cuddly and take a nap in daddy's coat)

and avery, well, avery did not get enough sleep last night. and that, along with the windy chilliness, proved to be a deadly combination for this 2 year old.

both girls are still asleep (thank the LORD) and i'm headed to the store to get some stuff for Matt's birthday party tonight. (let's hope he feels well enough to let us celebrate him)

mandy-we looked for you guys after we came back from the slide & could not find you anywhere. when did you leave? we tried to look for your faces throughout the time we were there & we sort of assumed that you had taken off. i was really hoping to meet your family, i feel like we just kind of "took off" on you guys. sorry! i know, it was super cold, some how we endured-bree & i didn't have jackets, hindsight 20/20.
