trick-or-treat

garrett and elaina had us all back over to their house on saturday night. we ate pizza, took the kids on a scavenger hunt and then headed out for some candy. there were TONS of kids there...so we split into two groups.... little kiddos and big kiddos.

this was avery's first time trick-or-treating and oh man, it was so cute how excited she was. she followed along, said trick-or-treat with the best of them, and always seemed to linger at everyone's house, like she was about to go in or something. after almost every house, the kids would come back and say "can we go to another house".

our little kiddo group was made up of strawberry short cake (brooklyn berruti), spider man (jack white), a ladybug (the aves), and toy story's woody (judah berruti)


also in tow were, ladybug #2 (miss ashton kate), a pirate (joel berruti), and wonder woman (lucy white)

her little pumpkin bag was so full that she just drug it behind her...

(you can barely make out the name "david" on the back of her bag....this was her daddy's when he was a wee one :) fun huh?)


it was fun night, and a little creepy (wierd people, scary costumes)...it's hard to find the balance between the fun of dressing up and getting candy and the creepiness of halloween and what the holiday represents to a lot of people....hmmmmm

(every time avery saw a skeleton or a creepy costume she would say "oh, i see tary mans" (scary mans) "i want to touch him")
