Still have not heard word from Haiti regarding David. The hope is very much alive. God has been working in and amongst our church body, yesterday's service was incredible. the worship, the prayer, the grief and the hope were all so tightly bound. strange and beautiful.
wanted to share something that my mind has been stuck on over the past few days. last week when i dropped avery off in her two-year-old class, David was her teacher. on our way home she had a little paper plate with streamers attached and was pretty excited about her "craft". the parent take home page said that the kids learned about paul and silas, how they worshipped God in jail and about the earthquake that gave them the opportunity to lead the jailer to Christ.
i'm overwhelmed by God's soverignty over that one, small detail in this nightmare of a week.
He is in control. He is.
still praying and believeing that they will find him soon and he will be rescued from the rubble.

Wow!
praying for this family. i can't imagine the fear.
I have been consumed with praying for this family too...even though I've never met them. Continuing to hope and have faith that he can and will be found and rescued.
wow.
