Dear Ian David,
On this day, November 7th, 2010, your father and I dedicate you to our God.
We are amazed at the blessing that you already are to us, little man. i cannot fully express the hope i have for you. it is a hope that is riddled with the promises of our ever-faithful God. it is a hope that begs for strength, for power, for compassion and humilty. a hope that really comes down to just one thing.
that our God would be your ONE passion, your ONE goal. that you would recognize at an early age that His calling is all that matters. that His heart is madly in love with you. that all pales and fades in His presence. and that your life was made to be given up to Him.
your name means "God is gracious" and oh how i want you to know of His grace, and oh how i want you to be a distrubutor of that grace.
and as you live and grow, i pray that people will see your life and know of His grace.
May you know His love, His grace and His sovereignty over your life more intimately than I do.
love,
your momma
(dedicating ian yesterday was incredible. so thankful for all of the family and friends that came to support us in our efforts to raise ian to know Jesus. ellen, my dad and garrett all prayed very significant prayers over ian's life and i am humbled by the heritage this little boy already has)

So sad I missed this!!! We were at the first service and I had no idea you were dedicating in the second one. We stand with you in our hearts as you raise this little guy.
By the way, LOVE the kids matching outfits with the hot pink flare added to the girls!!!!
