this and that

well, let's see.  avery finished up swim lessons today.  we'll miss going there and i hope to get all the kids in there again as they grow, what a cool place.  (expensive, but cool)

our week has been a smattering of dentist appointments, swim lessons, errands and packing.  there's a lot to do to get this little fam out the door for a 14 hour road trip down to table rock lake.

this will be our first real family road trip and i'm super stoked.  we'll see how i'm doing around hour 8....

a new activity and snack bag every 60 miles is the plan.  with some movies thrown in there, of course.

avery and daddy venture up the hill to kill some fire ants.  we did experience one of their "stings" and it was not pretty.  


we leave on saturday morning, as early as we can.  table rock lake makes me giddy.

you wouldn't believe that i got to go to santa barbara to hang with christy, but i did and it was marvelous.  kindred spirits for sure.  and here's where i show off my white colorado legs.

i can't wait to take the kids back to silver dollar city and watch ian in this ball room.  he'll love it!


oh!  and today is dave and i's 9th anniversary.  luckily kayla and luis are taking the kids tonight so we can clean out the van and get some logistical stuff ready for the road trip (we'll throw dinner in there too :))
