If there ever was a time for a panic attack.....

There are a million things going on in the world of Children's Ministry during these Spring months. Here's just a glimpse into our lunch meeting today..........

"How is the insert for Summer Volunteers"
"Good, I think we need a huge poster to put up between elementary and preschool so that parents will be drawn to volunteer this summer"
"K can you do that...in color"
"Yea, do we have budget for that? Should I do it at Kinkos??"
"No, Copy it, the one up north"
"We need the insert in by next week, and can Scott announce it in service"
"Yea, Patti can you email him, and also we need to announce the borrow board for VBB"
"We need a blurb on the blue insert for that as well, Patti can you take care of that"
"Where are we putting people that signed up for VBB"
"They should all go into team leaders"
"When should we have the team leader training?"
"Same night as the Summer Volunteer training?"
"Can we have a sign up sheet for summer volunteers at Free Agency weekend?"
"How many tables do we need for free agency?"
"Three, Ellen, make sure you get three tables OKAY?"
"Patti, are you making our brochure to hand out at free agency"
"How about our creative ministry summer program"
"Angelina will make a separate packet about that"
"We should hand those out at Snow Cones in the park"
"What?!?"
"Snow cones in the park, a family service project...we'll hand out snow cones and info about VBB and summer creative ministry"
"Are you having a sign up sheet for that at the Family Movie Night"
"Yes"
"Is Bob running sound for that"
"Yes, do you think people will do the "family" question together?"
"Patti, can I show you the new check in system stuff after the meeting"
"When does the new check in system start?"
"May 11th in preschool, the 18th in elementary, the elementary kids are going into service May 11th for mothers day"
"Do we need to make a half sheet to let parents know that elementary kids will be joining them in the service that day?"

......and it went on and on like that until we were breathless and panicked and feeling overwhelmed. We stopped and prayed and realized that God is infinite and soverign. He is the one that has called us and so He is the one who will equip us to do this daunting task of bringing children to His feet.
