So mother's day was pretty sweet this year. There really aren't any words that adequately describe the emotions tide to being called "mom". In a culture where the questions of "has she rolled over?" "Is she crawling?" "Is she walking" "which school will she go to" "what sport does she play".....fill the air of conversing moms, Ellen did a great job of grabbing our hearts and bringing us back to our main purpose as we raise the next generation. Here's the bottom line... "Do whatever it takes to get your children to Jesus". So powerful, so true, so challenging.Mother's day brunch at the Cheyenne Mountain Conference Resort
Giving my schpeel to the mom's in our lives....they are worthy of awesome blessing. They both have fought and continue to fight for the hearts of their children and now their grandchildren. Dave and I are so proud of our mom's and on this day, we rise and call them blessed. (I get to take them to brunch and get them pedicures next week) Avery is blessed that they are both in town. This whole parenting thing would look a lot different if we weren't near family and we don't want to take it for granted.
