the moment

If you’ve signed up for our soccer camp, I’ll be contacting you soon. If you haven’t, but still want to, you should do it soon. I’m capping it at 16 kids. I started working on it this morning and am seriously excited. Here’s a sneak peek:

-Each kid’s going to get a personalized “book” at the end of camp.

-I will be taking individual and team pictures to include at the end of their “books”.

-session number one “I can stop the ball” patience is our value today and we’ll be reading about Jericho from the Jesus Story Book Bible.

Let it be known: I LOVE writing curriculum. J

Some glimpses of our week. More rainy days in may means finding fun stuff to do inside. Here’s avery putting on a puppet show for grandma and I at School Crossing.

I read romans 8 this morning. And I loved it. So I read it again. Outloud. Have you ever done that? Read scripture out loud? It is awesome. It feels more real, more powerful. I love romans 8.

Starts off with a bang:

“THERE IS NOW NO CONDEMNATION FOR THOSE WHO ARE IN CHRIST!”

Verse 6 “The mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace.”

Verse 18 “I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.”

And today, these next two verses were the cry of my heart. These verses echoed in my soul:

24-24 “for in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what he already has? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.”

And there’s more goodness from this chapter. Maybe I should memorize this whole thing.

Verse 31 “if God is for us, who can be against us” (doing this song for vbb this year and I’m so ready to watch the kids worship)

and it ends just as beautifully and powerfully as it begins:

37-39 “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus."

and here's where we'll be this evening:

there's sure to be crowds of excited fike and dana fans.

there's sure to be swarms of kids dancing in front of the stage.

and, for sure, there will be worship.

So, can you make the soccer camp a true "camp" and have overnight guests? If so, sign Jack and James up :)!

Your camp sounds so awesome. Next year, be sure to let me know. I love your heart to share Jesus with little ones. And around here, we love the Jesus StoryBook Bible!
