good news! it's world water day!

here's a little recap about what's going on today.
the adventure project is teaming with water for people to launch a new water system in the Kyenjojo district of Uganda.   this system includes: a well for at least 250 people in a village, a job for a caretaker to collect and sell water and a trained mechanic nearby.  the cost to implement a water system like this is, you guessed it, five thousand dollars.
this type of system has never been done in africa before, if it works in uganda, it can be replicated across the entire continent.
the adventure project is raising money to install 30 of these super well systems in uganda.  but after we close out the raffle, i'm pretty sure they'll just need the funds for 29 ;)
it's been an incredible 2 weeks, we are still $1,270 dollars shy of our goal, so feel free to pass on all of the information about this water system and our raffle to anyone you think may want to join us!
and just in case you haven't joined us yet or you were dying to bid on something else, i've got some gems to add to the raffle on this oh so special day!

Holly Doden has a beautiful etsy shop here.   she's donating an african charm to the water raffle.
a bid on this beautiful charm is 20 dollars.

This tiny sterling silver 1/2" charm is hand stamped with the continent of Africa. It is suspended from a dainty chain.

Please leave a note to let me know if you would like your piece in 925 sterling silver or 14k gold fill and if you'd like a small heart stamped on a specific country.

Lois Clark is donating some beautiful jewlery to the raffle!  Each jewlery set is a 10 dollar bid.

Black and gold art glass bracelet. Handwrapped wire links and clasp. Approx 7" Matching earrings

Dainty lavender crystal bracelet with matching earrings. Hand wrapped wire links with lobster clasp. Approx 6 3/4". Matching earrings.

melissa paisley let me borrow this book by kelle hampton and then we both agreed it'd be a perfect world water day raffle item!  it's beautifully written, hilarious and inspirational.  if you don't read kelle's blog, you're totally missing out.
a bid on this book is 10 dollars.

renee morrison has a fun etsy shop with knitted and crocheted bags.  winner will get to choose from several colors.
a bid on the bag is 10 dollars.

melissa harding makes beautiful hand-stamped copper jewlery.
the one pictured says "set free".

i have one that says "beautiful" and i love it.

winner can choose from necklaces melissa has already made or choose their own word or phrase.

a bid on the copper hand-stamped necklace is 10 dollars.

and last but certainly not least, kojodesigns is having a giant sale in their etsy shop to honor world water day! all of their party packs are just 10 dollars! such CUTE stuff, oh my goodness! i adore the sprinkled party kirst did for her little girl, piper jane!
all of the money they make today is going straight to our well!  yay!

all of the other raffle items are HERE!

you have until 8 pm mountain standard time to get your bid in!

donate here.

don't forget to tell me what you'd like to bid on!

whenever we work hard, fight long, and shout loud for things to be the way they soon will be,  for things to be as they were intended to be,  we are actually providing glimpses of Heaven.

i can't imagine fighting for anything greater.
