from my garden

with our pitchers we attempt sometimes to water a field, not a garden.

one of the lovely flowers that grows in my garden. ;)

how easy it is to find ourselves sprinkling droplets over a field,

not an old summer photo.  february in colorado has been treating us right.

spreading ourselves too thin,

he said to me "mom, don't talk to me, i'm concentrating."

giving without replenishing,

accomplishing nothing of real value.

and so i strive to keep my garden small,

but to care for it joyfully and well.

we bloom here.
