one day i loaded the kids backpacks with snacks and water bottles and sunscreen and we biked to our little neighborhood pool.
we didn't pay for a summer pass and this was likely going to be our only pool day, so our intentions were to get our money's worth and stay there ALL DAY LONG.
and we did!
it was one of our hottest days and the kids swam and snacked and swam and snacked.
and then dave came and joined us right after work and was able to swim for an hour with the kids.
it was really fabulous.
