if you don't live in colorado springs, i'm sure you've heard that we've had record breaking lows here over the past couple of days.
schools been out, but not due to icy roads or accumulating snow. it's just simply too cold. yesterday the high was -1 and the low was somewhere in the -40 range. wow.
so school was cancelled, which means mops was cancelled, which means after a full day home bound on monday, we were blessed with another full day home bound yesterday.
needless to say, this morning we all were slightly antsy. we quickly moved through preschool and chores and i found myself feeling adventurous right before nap time. afterall, the temps were close to a balmy 10 degrees. :)
we bundled up.
ian too.
i think he's seriously questioning my mothering capabilities here. "you really shouldn't be taking us out in this mom" whatev kid.
focus on the family was our destination and we enjoyed a nearly perfect hour and a half in the non crowded hallways of whit's end.
ian had a front row seat of dancing sisters dressed like odyssey characters.
see?
"hi bud-dy"
the peek-a-boo board.
at one point some cute aggressive two year old boy pushed ashton right down. she cried! loud! very sad. as we were leaving that room, avery grabbed her hand and said "i'm so sorry that boy pushed you, that wasn't very nice."
sweet sister moment :)
ian fell asleep on the way home and i'm pretty sure it's a non-written rule that you must have at least a handful of snapshots of your babies snoozin' in their car seats.
picture taking woke the boy up and he flashed me his perfect 4 month old grin.
ahhh. we've almost made it to thursday. :)
