today ashton is two.
it is physically painful to see pictures like this
and this
oh my. really, how did that happen? she was a baby for like, a second.
she is funny.
and independent.
just this week she's started saying "wook me momma" or "wook dis momma". cutest thing ever.
she loves her sister and adores her baby brother. she says ian with just one syllable. like "ean".
today her and ian were awake while biggest sister was still asleep (so unusual) and i had ian on the rug in the playroom and ashton kept piling stuff all around him. everytime she'd give him something else she'd come find me and say "give 'ean' book momma, give ean doggy too momma".
she's got the best manners. she says "dank you" all. day. long. and when she says "pease" it's always in a super high pitched voice with her little head cocked to one side.
i continue to pray that her joy would be in the law of the Lord. that she would meditate on it day and night and that she would be like a strong tree, bearing fruit because of her dependence on the Lord.
this morning she woke up to an elmo balloon and pink donut.
she blew those candles out quick!
we were going to go to the zoo but it was too chilly so we went to focus instead
and tonight we went to red robin for her free kids meal and ice cream.
my happy two year old. (check out avery in the back eyeing that sundae)
trying to hold on to these moments. life is such a blur right now with 3, 3 and under and i don't want to miss out on who they are right now, because they are so rapidly changing and growing and developing into new little people all. the. time.
and ashton kate at 2 years old? well, there's not much better.

She is so stinkin' adorable! She looks A LOT like Avery in those 2nd and 3rd pictures! And that bridge she is on in one of the pics is that next to Mother's Chapel? That's where Jon and I were married.....I have a picture of us together on that bridge, memories...
Haven't been down there in forever.
