this was our first year cutting down our own christmas tree.
forgive me, i was a bit camera happy.
it was so much fun. the kids loved it. it helped that it was a super nice day.
we went with dave's parents and his aunt and uncle.
avery found a tree she loved. we kept looking but ended up going with her tree.
it is the biggest tree we've ever had and i love it so much. :)
avery stuck with daddy through the whole lighting process.
look how aves is displaying baby Jesus in the above picture...
love it.

Oh Mandy! It's Beautiful! What a fun memory for your family!
so fun! We cut down our own tree last year but it was a SUPER cold day and the heater in the pick up was out and my 1 1/2 year old's mitten fell off and he got snow on his hand and freaked and we declared that the "rite of passage" age in our house was going to be 5 years old and until then it was a mom and dad date/outing. :) This year with the timing/holiday travel we're not going to get to cut down our own. :( Oh well, hopefully next year! Kelly
